Submission Guidelines

1. Since the archive has a general CSI: NY disclaimer to it, you are not completely required to include on on your stories. However, if your story is a crossover, or if it contains your own original character, or you are using someone elses, PLEASE include a full legal disclaimer in the header.
2. Stories must be submitted to the proper category.
3. Titles and summaries must be kid friendly. No exceptions.
4. "Please read", "Untitled", etc. are not acceptable titles or summaries.
5. Actor/actress stories are not permitted...not even if they're visiting an alternate reality.
6. Please ensure your story is spellchecked and beta'd before being posted; if you don't have a beta reader, check in our beta reader forum.
7. No character or ship bashing is permitted in ANY story, even if anti-Danny/Lindsay shippers really piss you off. We do not wish to see them here.
8. Stories of all POV's are permitted, these include (but are not limited to): first person, second person, third person and narrative. Stories written in script-format, internet-chat-room style, and other formats are also permitted.
9. Stories that depict graphical scenes of rape or other forms of sexual violence will be removed immediately. WITHOUT QUESTION. Further posting of stories with this content will result in the permanent banning of the member in question's account. There is NO exception to this rule. The following types of sexual behavior are also considered inappropriate and are NOT permitted: Pedophilia, bestiality and necrophilia.
10. All stories rated O17 and E18 MUST be posted under the appropriate ratings (O17 and E18), with stories defined at Erotica (detailed sex scenes) to be posted under the E18 rating.
11. Every story posted are asked to contain the appropriate headers. These are NOT a prerequisite, but we do think they will better detail to the reader what your story is about, such as any authors notes, etc,.
12. The use of lyrics in stories (Song-Fic) is more than welcome to be posted here, but we kindly ask that people try all they can to limit the use of lyrics in their stories, as your story/stories should work well enough on its own without the inclusion of lyrics.
13. We operate under a ZERO TOLERANCE for plagiarism. If you are caught copying someone else’s work in part or full, you will be given a warning to cease and desist, if you continue to take another person's work as your own, you will have all posting privilidges revoked.

We realize we may not have covered ALL general writing rules here, but we do ask that people PLEASE use their discretion in what they write. If you think it is inappropriate, do not post it, or contact us to see if we'll allow it (when in doubt, it never hurts to ask).

Submissions found to be in violation of these rules may be removed and the author's account suspended at the discretion of the site administrators and/or moderators. The site administrators reserve the right to modify these rules as needed.

Our Rating System:

U12 - The U12 rating applies to all stories that have been suitably written for readers twelve years old, and under. These stories are usually fluffy and clean of all references of violence, sexuality and offensive language.
O13 - The O13 rated stories are suitable for readers over the age of 13. These stories will usually contain very light references of sexuality, violence or minor use of offensive language.
O15 - Stories with the O15 have content that exceeds what is permitted in the O13 rating, and are suitable only for persons over the age of fifteen. These stories usually contain a moderate amount of sexual references, violence, offensive language and other content that is suitable only for more mature readers. These stories may also contain references to, or content dealing with, rape and/or sexual abuse, self harm and mutilation, suicide, depression and maybe even drug/alcohol abuse. (All situations such as these, and many others, are asked to please be maturely approached -- any glorification of these topics will result in the immediate removal of the story it appears in.)
O17 - Stories rated O17 are ONLY for persons OVER the age of seventeen. Stories with this rating will have a pop-up warning you that the story you have chosen to view contains adult material. O17 stories are stories that contain a heavier use of violence, extreme use of offensive language, or they may contain some degree of nudity, or low-detail sex scenes.
E18 - Stories rated E18 contain scenes of nudity, excessive foul language, or highly-detailed sex scenes. E18 stories are also known as "smut" or "pwp", these stories are usually stories with pure sex and nothing else.
